About the training program
Photonics and optoinformatics is a young, promising, rapidly developing field requiring knowledge of optics, laser physics, mathematics, and computer technologies. Among the unique disciplines are optical methods of information processing, photonics, and physical optics. Fundamental theoretical training is combined with a large number of practical classes – laboratory work is conducted on the most modern equipment. Students can test their theoretical research in practice, independently assemble an optical device, or record a hologram and see with their own eyes how everything works.
What do graduates do?
The training program is primarily aimed at training researchers capable of solving non-standard scientific and engineering-technical tasks. Specialists in photonics and optoinformatics must understand the theory, know how to model the necessary installation on a computer, and be able to assemble it with their own hands. It is not surprising that they are in demand in the labor market. After completing the training, one can work in various fields. Some continue to engage in science, others find jobs in enterprises where lasers are used and developed, and still others prefer to engage in telecommunications technologies.
