Russian University of Transport

For 129 years, the Russian University of Transport (RUT (MIIT)) has been training specialists for the transport industry in Russia and around the world. Today, the university educates more than 35,000 bachelors, masters, specialists, and graduate students, including more than 2,000 foreign citizens from 70 countries around the world. RUT (MIIT) is among the top ten largest universities in Russia. The Russian University of Transport is the only university in Russia founded by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and the only university in Russia that graduates specialists in all types of transport. RUT is not only a university, but also a gymnasium, 5 colleges, a technopark, and infrastructure. Since 2018, the university has been independently developing and approving educational standards for all levels of higher education, which testifies to the high quality of education. A distinctive feature of education at the Russian University of Transport is its practical orientation and the connection of training with the needs of transport industry companies.
