Modern RGSU is a University with a rich 105-year history, one of the flagships of the Russian higher education system. We train modern, in-demand specialists in social professions, conduct innovative scientific research, and actively participate in the implementation of Russia's national projects. Our mission is to train new state and public leaders with systemic thinking, strategic vision, and broad professional competencies.
About the University
RGSU is a modern university that trains successful and qualified specialists and leaders for almost all spheres of the economy, politics, and public life of the country. Our history spans more than a century and begins in 1919. The university is a direct heir to the Ya. M. Sverdlov Communist University, the Communist International with its subordinate educational institutions, the Higher Party School (HPS) under the Central Committee of the CPSU, and the Institute of Marxism-Leninism (ILM). Among our graduates are heads of state, famous athletes, and leaders of state structures. Practically in all regions of the country, at all levels of different economic, political, and government structures, graduates of RGSU work. In 2023 alone, seven teachers and employees of RGSU became laureates of the State Prize for Achievements in Science and Education, and this is a unique result for Russian universities! And more than 80% of our teachers have a scientific degree.

Location
The main building is located near the VDNKh and Botanical Garden metro stations. RGSU has 4 academic buildings and 5 dormitories. Students study in equipped auditoriums and conference halls. There are own sports halls and recreation centers, a stadium, and a swimming pool. The University's territory is safe and guarded.
Sports Complex "FOK RGSU"
On the university grounds, there is a sports complex where you can engage in various sports, including swimming, synchronized swimming, and crossfit. This is an excellent opportunity to maintain physical fitness and health during your studies.
Driving school
Having your own driving school on the territory of RGSU is a big plus for those who want to get a driver's license or improve their driving skills.
