About the training program
During their studies, master's students develop skills in analytical activities and scientific research in the social sphere due to in-depth study of theory and the completion of a large volume of practical work. The master's program is characterized by a practice-oriented approach. The main bases for completing the internship are: the Ministry of Social Development of the Novosibirsk Region and its subordinate institutions, the Department of Social Policy of the Novosibirsk City Hall, and municipal and public organizations, successful public organizations.
What do graduates do?
A graduate of a master's program is a highly qualified specialist who can work in social protection agencies, in the state employment service, or in medical and social expertise. The place of employment can also be the migration service, penitentiary institutions, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, social service organizations, the pension fund, cultural, healthcare, and educational organizations. A master of sociology can become an employee of a research institute, higher school, or institution of vocational secondary education. In addition, the field of activity can include sociological analytical centers, consulting companies, municipal and state authorities.
