About the University
Volgograd State Technical University was founded in 1930 and is among the leaders of technical universities in Russia. About 15,000 students, including about 2,000 foreign citizens, study at the university and its three branches. VolgGTU trains highly qualified specialists for mechanical engineering, chemical, petrochemical, construction, and food industries, metalworking, automotive transport, as well as in the fields of architecture, computer technology, economics, and management. Over 90 years, VolgGTU has graduated more than 120,000 highly qualified specialists. More than 6000 graduates from more than 80 countries have received university diplomas, and more than 100 foreign graduates have received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy. VolgGTU has a modern material and technical base that allows for conducting training and scientific research at a high level. The university's technopark produces high-tech products for various industries.
