The Center for Interaction with Employers holds job fairs, excursions to enterprises, open lectures, practical seminars, and trainings so that students and graduates can obtain information about vacancies, internships, scholarship programs, and competitive selections, salary levels, and the results of specialized social research.

Ural Federal University has signed agreements with several hundred Russian and international companies from different sectors of the economy for the possibility of internships and further employment of students and graduates. Among the partners of Ural Federal University are: Sber, Alfa Bank, Bank of Russia, Kontur, Sinara, UGMK, RMK, TMK, Gazprom, Rosatom, Ural Civil Aviation Plant, Ural Automobile Plant, and others. There are also agreements on personnel training for foreign enterprises: in Kyrgyzstan (OJSC "Kyrgyzindustry", OJSC "Kyrgyzaltyn", LLC "Alliance Altyn"), Uzbekistan (JSC "Navoi MMC"), Mongolia ("MMC Erdenet"), Kazakhstan (JSC "Kazakhstan Engineering"), and the "RUSAL" representative office in Guinea. For fourth-year students, graduate students, and postgraduate students, professional orientation testing is conducted free of charge at UrFU.

Sberbank participates in the practice-oriented training of students. The partnership has opened programs: "Applied Data Analysis"; individual educational trajectory "Information Systems Support Engineer."

"RTSoft" is an international engineering company engaged in industrial automation and software development in the field of intelligent control systems. Practice and employment of students of UrFU (software testers, programmers, specialists of RZA and ASU TP).

UrFU is a member of the Consortium of Key Universities of the State Corporation "Rosatom"; it trains personnel for the nuclear industry.
Students of UrFU have the opportunity to undergo internships and work at the enterprises of the State Corporation "Rosatom".
