Saint Petersburg universities. Russia’s second largest city is called the “cultural capital.” There are more than 200 museums including the Hermitage and over 100 universities in Saint Petersburg. If you arrive in Petersburg as a student, you can get your wants and needs met; i.e. you’ll have quality education and the pleasure of exploring its places of interest. The city has repeatedly won prizes as a top tourist destination in Europe. Many tourists visit St Petersburg in June and July to see the famous White Nights. Universities hold international summer schools during that period.
