Novosibirsk State University is part of an extensive international academic network actively cooperates with leading foreign universities in different countries around the world. Almost 900 foreign students and postgraduates trained in 29 versatile programs hosted jointly with prestigious universities in Germany, France and China last year alone.

The double master's degrees is a program that involves training in two partner universities at once and consequently obtaining two diplomas if state standards are met by the participants. This will allow students to gain unique learning experience in different educational systems, become fluent in a foreign language, as well as a competitive advantage for their future careers. All NSU students, regardless of citizenship, can apply and be selected for any program.

If you're interested in Asain culture, take a look at programmes held together with the University of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). Undergraduates have a choice of two master's degrees: in management and in information technology. The programmes are run according to the 1 + 1 scheme: students spent the first year at a partner university and second one at NSU.

Another highly demanded double degree program is in International and Russian Business Law held in cooperation with the University of Wismar, Germany, where students study in the 3rd semester. Graduates will receive in-depth knowledge of both Russian and European economic law. Training is conducted in English and English. The cost of the program at the University of Wismar is about $2700 per year.

Similarly, for more than 15 years NSU has been directing a large number of various joint programs with universities in France, such as Higher Min PariTech, Ecole Polytechnique, Higher School of Industrial Physics and Chemistry in Paris ESPCI ParisTech, Higher Central School of Lyon, and other leading universities in the country.

The "French programs" stand out as some of them are free of charge. For example, the NSU Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics programme carried out in cooperation with Ecole Polytechnique. Through the second to the fourth semester, students study in France for the engineering cycle program. During this time, students may also apply for a scholarship from either the French government, Eiffel Excellence or Erasmus+.

Together with Heilongjiang University (China), NSU realises master programs in several fields: chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics and law. The programme begins with an immersion course in the Russian language and culture. Students of these courses are also eligible for a grant from the Chinese government or Heilongjiang Province to help them cover living expenses during their stay.

Within the cooperation with Heilongjiang University, there are also many bachelors programs in the 2 + 1 + 1 format: the first two years students study in Harbin and then complete their studies in Novosibirsk. As with the master's programmes, the language of instruction is Russian.

The education cost for foreign citizens at NSU is considered quite affordable: $4500 for a bachelor's degree and $5200 for master's per year. As a rule, the courses taken at the partner university do not require additional payment. Moreover, students have an opportunity to apply for a monthly scholarship of up to € 1,300. The exceptions are several programs with French universities, as well as with Wismar.
