The main purpose of ITMO University`s international activity is improvement of its academic ties with foreign universities and strengthening its positions within international academic community.
International academic cooperation is put into practice via 35 join programs as well as academic exchange with more than 200 universities in 50 countries of the world such as: Ecole Polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, Paris Institute of Technology (ParisTech),Peking University, King's College London, Université de Liège (Belgium), Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT, Germany), Universidad Nacional del Litoral (Santa Fe, Argentina), The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA, USA), The University of Rochester (USA), Aalto University (Finland), The Czech Technical University in Prague (Czech Republic) and etc.
Double-degree Master programs provide unique opportunity to get two diplomas upon completion only one Master program. One-year study at foreign partner university makes it possible to get valuable experience of international education and research work. The language of instruction is English, so these programs are open for students all over the world.
International applicants can take advantage of studying at Preparatory Department which is aimed at assistance, adaptation and integration of new coming students into ITMO community. Academic training includes courses on the Russian Language and Culture, as well as Technical Sciences Preparatory Course (Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Chemistry) which is extremely helpful for entrance exams.
