Russian Universities Lead in QS Emerging Europe and Central Asia

According to the QS University Rankings: Emerging Europe and Central Asia published on December 16, 2020, Russian universities placed 121st out of 400. Many of them have significantly improved their positions compared to a similar survey last year.

QS University Rankings is one of the most authoritative world rankings. It assesses the universities based to 10 criteria, including academic reputation, demand from employers, the number of international students and lecturers, and others.

The 5 best universities traditionally included Lomonosov Moscow State University, St. Petersburg State University and NSU. MIPT and TSU are in the top-10. HSE University took the 16th place.

The top-100 includes UrFU, MEPhI, Kazan Federal University, NUST MISIS, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Lobachevsky University, IKBFU, ITMO University, RUDN University and Sechenov University.
