Lobachevsky University’s foreign students participated in a series of educational events

More than 30 foreign students of Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod in July 2022 got actively involved in the cultural and academic life of the city and the region. They attended a number of exhibitions and excursions, and got an even more detailed concept of the history, traditions and peculiarities of Nizhny Novgorod and Russia as a whole.

For example, the students visited the university’s Botanical Garden, where they saw rare and unique plants from all over Russia and other parts of the world. The garden’s collection has more than 3.5 thousand samples.

Besides, the foreign students had an opportunity to enjoy Russian painting, presented at the permanent exhibition of Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum.

“Excursion programs that introduce foreign students to the art, history, and nature of our country have a positive effect on their adaptation and integration. These activities also give the students a chance to get to better know Russia’s culture and traditions, the basic principles that underlie them,” said Egor Kolesnikov, an employee of the university’s International Students Support Office.
