Is there a dormitory for international students at the university?

There are more than twenty dormitories on campus with the housing capacity of over 10 000 people.

International students are mostly housed in housing units or shared apartments: # 13, # 15, # 8, #12.

Entrance is regulated by the system of electronic passes. All dormitory blocks are equipped with fire alarm systems, most dormitories have indoor and outdoor surveillance. 

Is the dormitory far from academic buildings? All dormitories are located within a walking distance of the academic buildings and the metro stations.
How many people live in one room? There are two, three or four occupants in a room.
Where are the facilities situated (shower, WC)? Each shared apartment has a bathroom and a toilet; for each housing unit there are shared bathroom facilities located on the same floor.
Where is the kitchen situated? Is it equipped with home appliances and utensils For the apartment type of accommodation there is a kitchen in each dorm block; the housing units share one kitchen located on the same floor. All kitchens are fitted out with furniture, electric stoves and sinks.
What does university provide for students when they move in? The dorm rooms are equipped with all the necessary units of furniture – a bed, a wardrobe, a desk, a kitchen table, chairs. When checking in at the dorm, each student will be given linens, keys and the electronic pass.
Is there Wi-Fi at the dormitory? The SPbPU dorms offer high-speed access to the internet and digital TV; there are free wifi zones.
Does the dorm building have additional facilities? There are on-campus sports grounds, sports facilities and student sports clubs. There are gyms, study areas, self-service laundry (that charges 70-100 rubles for a wash cycle depending on the load of laundry; tumble drying will cost 70 rubles for a cycle).
What is the monthly fee for dormitory? The amount of the accommodation fee depends on the mode of study, program type and the dorm’s comfort level. For government-funded students the fee is 1006 rubles per month (central heating is off over the summer), and 1253 rubles (central heating is on over the winter), for self-funded students – 3000 rubles per month (central heating is off over the summer), 5700 rubles (central heating is on over the winter).
