I was sure that the only things in Russia were forests and the cold. Fortunately, I was wrong

The research group I am working with is composed of Russian and American scientists working separately on two continents, we often visit each others' universities to reveal recent results and to exchange our experiences. Not long ago my colleagues from NUST MISIS visited us at the University of Texas at Dallas, and now I am doing my internship here. I am working on advancing the stability of perovskites by creating protective films and coatings, and also on doping them. Changing, harnessing, and protecting the charge is one of the main problems of perovskite solar cells due to their degradation. 

You won't believe it but I was sure that the only things in Russia were forests and the cold. Fortunately, I was wrong. Facilities at NUST MISIS are really excellent comparable to those in America. The laboratory I`m working at now is fully equipped with advanced facilities. The people here are nice to me, and they really help when there are troubles with the equipment or if you don’t understand something. Luckily most people understand and speak English, so that really helps. 

Russian culture is inexpressible. I would have never guessed how great Russia is, how nice the people are, and how beautiful the country really is. I am really glad I came.
