I like to read books written by Russian writers
Many Japanese speak English well, and I wanted to study some other language, and in general I think that it is cool to speak a foreign language. I am studying the Russian language at the Preparatory Department of the FEFU Center of Russian Language and Culture. At the preparatory department we are deeply immersed in the language and study other subjects: history, literature, and social studies. Literature is my favorite subject. Despite the fact that there are many terms or Old Russian words, it is still very pleasant to read the works of Russian writers. I love Lermontov, especially his A Hero of our Time novel.
I would advise you to start learning the Russian language at least a little before entering the Russian university. You’d better communicate more, practice, and not be ashamed to speak Russian while studying. The Russian language is very difficult, but I constantly communicate with local friends, I have a lot of practice and thanks to this, I already speak fluently. We often walk with friends in the city, along the seafront promenade, and meet in a café. Here I met true friends, close in spirit, open and sincere. I love Russian cuisine, especially borsch (beet soup) and pelmeny (dumplings). I tried to cook borsch once and I was very good at it.
