I study Russian 5 days a week, for 3 hours daily

Our Department offered me a scholarship from the Russian Embassy. So I came to MEPhI in January 2016 to obtain a degree in theoretical physics.

I love Russia. From time to time I have a walk to explore the city. I’ve already visited Kremlin and famous Red square. I have friends – with some of them I study together, some of them are my roommates. I live together with Mongolian, Chinese and Indonesian students. I cook the national dishes – potatoes, rice, chicken, and others. But I like some local dishes too.

The main difficulty I faced was the language. It is completely new, the alphabet is not similar to French, it is entirely different. And as a result, at first it was really hard. Now I attend lessons of Russian language – we have three hours of classes a day, five days a week. I study Russian with my friends from Algeria. We have a very good teacher who explains everything to us.

If I get the chance, I'd like to continue studying in a Master's degree programme.
