Kirill Mednikov , Tajikistan

National University of Science and Technology MISIS

Students have access to a variety of leisure facilities

Hello, my name is Kirill Mednikov. I am a representative of Tajikistan — I came directly from the heart of Central Asia. I was born and brought up in Dushanbe, which is the capital. After my memorable school path, I decided to move for a while to Russia. This is the country I know a lot about. This is just because of the Soviet Union. We were taught about an enormous variety of subjects connected with the land where I live and study now. I decided to make a new step in my academic career and take my Bachelor's Degree here.

Hence, I am a third-year student at NUST MISiS, pursuing a degree in Technological Machinery and Equipment. I find this major thrilling and spectacular. The college seeks to provide qualifications to future experts in energy-efficient, competitive, and environmentally friendly processes of production of metals, alloys, and composite materials with brand-new cutting-edge functional properties that will allow for creating new products to serve the best of our life. So, I think that's it.

I live in the student dormitory, which is 20 minutes by metro from the university. So there is a campus where students pursuing a Bachelor's Degree live, consisting of 4 buildings called Metallurgist. Students share furnished rooms with Russian and international students and have access to variety of leisure facilities. Anyway, the dormitory is a great place to expand the circle of friends.

Apart from my studies in Moscow, I felt concerned about those who are here for the first time, so I decided to assist the International Office by working with foreigners. I help them to adjust a new student life in Moscow. Amusing excursions, theatres, concerts, and meetings with interesting people are always on our schedule. These events will bring your talent to light, and you will feel free to express your own ideas and thoughts. We also have a volunteer experience, so the international friendship club helps orphanages, participates in the Marathon of Good Deeds and guides those who need support.
