I have come to Russia to continue pursuing my education here

I got my previous education in the United States – I studied at San Diego State University.

I have a bachelor’s degree in public administration. I have come to Russia to continue pursuing my education here.

I am currently doing a master’s degree in Applied Informatics which is called IT innovation for business. Everybody asks me “Why did you come to Russia if you lived in the United States?”. I ended up picking UrFU mostly because I was looking for schools that offered master programs in the English language. Here in UrFU I found 2 programs which I was interested in. Here you have a full schedule of classes, so you actually have to stay current and actually study which is very much you come for. But it’s very common like in other places that you have a chance to be laid-back, and I guess here it is better if you really want to learn. It has actually been pretty easy as faculty members are very helpful. When you have questions, professors are willing to help you. You can contact them outside of classes and they respond, give you advice and they help you with any issues.

Definitely, I consider either continuing my education here, may be get a doctorate, or if I get a good job offer in Russia, I will definitely consider taking it and staying longer here.
