For a history student, Saint Petersburg is a kind of heaven

I am pursuing my master’s degree here. I did graduation in history, and later I was looking for some course which would be abroad, but also interdisciplinary in nature, because I wanted to pursue something which would be giving me some other ventures and opportunities to link my subject and other subjects. While I was searching for this kind of programme, I found a perfect subject at HSE which is Applied and Interdisciplinary History. After coming here, first of all, I was really afraid, because Russia is not something which has a culture similar to Indian. Also there is some kind of language barrier. For a history student, Saint Petersburg is a really nice place, kind of a heaven. Because here all the buildings, all the places are really historical. But also it is really modern, so it has all amenities in which you can live in the city. Saint Petersburg is different from other Russian cities, it’s like really international in nature, from the historical approach. If you want to have international opportunities, like tasting different cuisines, you have lots of options of Indian cuisine in the different places of the city. I would recommend all these places to taste.
