When do applications to Russian universities open?

Applications open in late June. Universities websites announce application dates in the “Admission requirements” section on 1 October every year. The application timeframe for foreign nationals is often longer; they start applying to some universities as early as February because the procedure takes much time. Prospective students are recommended to get in touch with the university, fill out the questionnaire and send in their initial application as early as possible. Initial application can be completed on the university website or on studyinrussia.ru. Create your personal account and write to the university directly. You will receive a reply within ten days. You can find out the deadlines for sending documents and learn about the programmes offered by the university, tuition fees, discounts, requirements for applicants etc. Note that the sooner you get in touch with the chosen university and receive the necessary information, the more time you have to prepare documents, get your student visa and read up for the examinations.
