I go to university in my home country. Can I transfer to a Russian university?

Russia’s law on education does not provide for transfer to a Russian university from any foreign university. International students have to enroll in the first year. After they have been admitted, they can present a certificate confirming completion of certain courses at their national university, which will be reviewed by a special commission. It will then decide on the student’s course articulation. However, you can pursue the next level of education after getting a degree from your university. For example, if you’ve completed your bachelor’s studies you can apply for a master’s programme at a Russian university. More information about Russian education levels you can find here.
