High school students (aged 13 and above), as well as applicants under 30 permanently residing outside Russia can take part in the competition.
Students from the CIS and Baltic states can take part in the competition. The competition is held in 2 stages: the extramural stage is held in December and the intramural in February.
The Open Doors International Olympiad: Russian Scholarship Project is held annually with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) for foreign citizens, stateless persons and Russians living abroad.
